Updates & Info - AGCO Hackathon - 1/31 - 2/1

Hi,

We are so excited you have registered for the AGCO Hackathon taking place Friday, Jan 31- Saturday, Feb 1 at the NCSA (1205 W Clark Street, Urbana, IL 61801). I wanted to provide a few updates and reminders for the event –

Google Form

*Some of you have only registered on our Dev Post page, you will need to be registered on both pages.

Dev Post

If you have already registered on the Dev Post event, that’s great! If not, please go ahead and also register for the AGCO Hackathon on the Devpost. This is the location where you and your teams will be submitting your final presentation. If you are not registered here, you will not be able to complete the submission. Doing it in advance will be helpful but we will give you a reminder at the Hackathon. Register on the Devpost here: https://agcohackathon.devpost.com/ or by clicking here.

Slack Group

In addition to having our support teams that the event, there is also a Slack workplace set up to support our challenges and the Hackathon. Please join and create an account before the event so you can receive support and ask our teams questions! Click here to join!

Registration & Event Agenda

The event is Jan 31- Feb 1 at NCSA. Registration opens at 3:15pm. The event will kick off at 4pm and dinner will be served at 5pm. Hacking officially starts at 6pm! The full agenda can be found on our website, here.

Prizes & Raffles

The prizes are really fantastic this year. You are able to have teams of up to 4 people. Prizes include: Nintendo Switch, Apple IPAD, Apple Watches, and Amazon Echo’s! There will also be three raffle drawings throughout the event and each raffle prize is $100! Judging criteria can be found on the website, here.  

Challenges

Don’t forget to review the challenges, here. During the kick off, we will provide a lot more detail for you. We will also provide you with the datasets for the challenges through AWS. If you don’t have experience with AWS, that’s ok! The AWS team will be onsite to support you and will be providing an education session on accessing the data.
